Turning a paperback into a hardback

This is a common request that I have received over the years, as many people would like to preserve a loved paperback in a binding that has a solid cover. This is certainly something I am happy to help with - I am also very happy to repair paperbacks as they are, but if it is a hardcover that you are after, this is something we can do as well.

The example below shows a paperback that had come apart in terms of its original paperback binding. I stabilised and strengthened the book at the spine, and then created a decorative cover that was inspired by the original design. The original cover was kept inside the binding and acted as the first fly leaf.
