David Barber's Sketchbook - Drawn to Norfolk

David Barber's Sketchbook - Drawn to Norfolk

Brown leather-bound sketchbook on a textured surface

David Barber is a seasoned and prolific artist, and was once based at East Beach Studios in Worthing. David commissioned a sketchbook of different papers, that would suit his drawing style. He wanted it landscape and fully bound in leather, with raised bands. He was very happy with the result - a sketchbook that he had wanted to spend a year drawing in every day. David then went on to publish his drawings in his book Drawn to Norfolk.

David was kind enough to bring me his sketchbook when he had completed drawing in it, and you will see those pictures here also, demonstrating the strength of the binding, and how well it survived being drawn in every day for over a year.

If you have a project similar to this that you would like to discuss, please do get in touch.
